"A glass containing the blessings of Abukuma and the warmth of Kawauchi"

Fukushima's Village of Kawauchi is a village of about 2,300 people, surrounded by the nature of the Abukuma Plateau, where the beauty of the four seasons and culture are alive. After the earthquake, villagers and volunteers worked together, cultivating and preparing the abandoned land before planting grapes, leading to the birth of "Kawauchi Wine". The first wine was released in 2022, becoming a light that brought hope for recovery and illuminated the region. "Village" is a deeply savory wine that pairs well with meals, and "Libel" is a wine that maximizes the characteristics of the grapes, allowing you to enjoy the bond between the land and its people.

If you wish to learn more about the background of this glass, please visit the winery within the Village of Kawauchi. The warmth of nature and people awaits you.

🍇 Kawauchi Winery 🍷 At an altitude of about 750m in Kawauchi Village, Fukushima Prefecture, the "Village Wine" was born on this land surrounded by nature.

Grapes that receive plenty of sunlight on south-facing slopes are grown in well-drained granitic soil.

The path to creating the winery began in 2015. With the cooperation of many people, we have been able to come this far. (Quoted from Kazumi Endo)

The brewing facility was completed in 2021, and the first wine was born from the grapes harvested that year 🍷✨.

In the fields, approximately 30 varieties of grapes are cultivated, primarily Chardonnay and Merlot.

🍷 The "Village" series, brewed with grapes grown in Kawauchi Village 🍇 The Libel series, mainly using grapes grown in Yoichi, Hokkaido

The colorful wax seals, applied by hand to each bottle, convey warmth and dedication. Please enjoy the wine of Kawauchi Village, nurtured by nature and people.
