Fukushima Prefecture Achieves the Feat of “Most Gold Prizes in Japan” at the Reiwa 6 (2024-2025) Annual Japan Sake Awards for the First Time in Three Years!

The results of The Annual Japan Sake Awards, a competition for sake brewing techniques and quality, were announced on the 21st. Fukushima Prefecture had 30 entries selected as “Award-winning sake,” with 16 entries winning the “Gold Prize,” marking the highest number of Gold Prizes nationwide.

 

The Annual Japan Sake Awards is the only nationwide sake competition that has been held since the Meiji era. This year, 809 entries were submitted from across the country.

 

On the 21st at 17:15, the “Reiwa 6 (2024-2025) Annual Japan Sake Awards Gold Prize Ceremony” will be held at Fukushima Machinaka Square, along with events where visitors can enjoy the Gold Prize-winning sake.
