INAWASHIRO ORIGINAL BEER BREWERY

Pilsner and others (17846 series)

Pilsner and others (17846 series)

Authentic local beer brewed with the famous spring water of Mount Bandai.

"INAWASHIRO ORIGINAL BEER" is a high-quality, authentic beer that uses the underflow water of Mount Bandai for brewing and incorporates traditional German brewing techniques. The beer, which maximizes the characteristics of carefully selected German malts and hops, is supported by a wide range of customers due to its excellent balance of aroma, richness, and crispness. In addition to five types of beer brewed based on the German Reinheitsgebot (Beer Purity Law), we also brew beers that utilize local ingredients, such as "Strawberry ale" using strawberries from Inawashiro Town and "Sour Style Plum" using Takada Ume (plums) from Aizumisato Town.

The adjacent restaurant offers beer flights for comparison, a well-stocked souvenir corner, and is popular as a stopover spot for Inawashiro tourism.

Enjoy authentic German-style craft beer amidst the spectacular view of Mount Bandai. 🍺✨

Inawashiro Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Surrounded by a lake and Mount Bandai, this land is home to a beer pioneer that has been brewing for about 30 years.
It is the "INAWASHIRO ORIGINAL BEER BREWERY," established in 1997 working closely with a young brewmaster invited from Germany.

On its opening day, March 1, 1997, while the surroundings were still covered in snow, hundreds of expensive 1.5-liter bottles sold out in the blink of an eye. Despite concerns about whether such expensive bottles would sell, many customers purchased multiple bottles each. It was a legendary day that symbolized the peak of the local beer boom.

The core of their brewing philosophy is to strictly adhere to the "Reinheitsgebot" (German Beer Purity Law) from the Bavaria region, which has a history of over 500 years.
They use only four ingredients: malt, hops, water, and yeast. They maintain the production of authentic beer with no compromises, using absolutely no adjuncts. 🍺🌾

The brewing kettles are made in Bamberg, Germany 🇩🇪. The malt and hops are also imported from the home country.
Although they once built a brewery in another prefecture using the same recipe and the same kettles, the beer from Inawashiro was overwhelmingly more delicious. The secret lies in the "water quality" of Inawashiro nurtured by Mount Bandai, and the climate brought about by its high elevation.

There are five standard varieties. They offer their signature Pilsner, as well as Weizen, Golden Angel, Brown Weizen, and Rauch. These beers, which have won the International Beer Cup, are of such high caliber that even customers who usually only drink major commercial beers are thoroughly impressed. 🏆

Enjoy a glass of freshly brewed beer while taking in the spectacular view of Mount Bandai ⛰️ spreading out before you.
With the desire and knowledge that "people will definitely come to Inawashiro and drink amidst this scenery," they continue to brew today. 🍺
