Developing the pairing product

To address the issue of “young people moving away from sake,” development began on a pairing product utilizing “Kataage Potato,” which is popular among younger demographics, to match the sweet and easy-to-drink “Amaisuehiro.”Workshops were held with members from Fukushima Prefecture, Fukushima sake breweries and associations, local businesses, and Calbee to select the flavor and create the package design. The result is a richly savory flavor that combines the seaside aroma of steamed clams in sake with a faint hint of butter.

This product was created with the hope that people in their 20s and 30s who do not usually drink sake, will particularly enjoy it.

【Product Features】

・Enjoy the rich taste of steamed clams in sake, featuring a seaside aroma enhanced with a subtle buttery flavor.

・The flavor is a perfect match for the Junmai sake “Amaisuehiro,” which was crafted to be light, easy to drink, and refreshingly sweet.

・The packaging features an image of “Amaisuehiro” to promote the pairing, as well as Fukushima Prefecture’s mascot character and an outline of the prefecture to show that it is a collaboration product.
