Chefs Supporting Fukushima Food Camp! 2025 Report: “Tasting Joban-mono by the Sea at Soma Seishomaru Tour” *Held 9/28

【Event Report】Sold out! ✨ An outdoor restaurant tour with Chefs Supporting Fukushima: "Food Camp" in Soma 🍽️🍶🐟

On Sunday, September 28th, we held the "Chefs Supporting Fukushima x Soma Seishomaru" Food Camp to taste Joban-mono (local seafood) by the seaside!

◤ Soma Haragama Fishing Port Tour & Surf Clam Shucking Experience ◢
Guided by Mr. Kikuchi, the captain of the Seishomaru and a fisherman at Soma Haragama Fishing Port, we toured the port and tried our hand at shucking surf clams!

◤ An Extraordinary Lunch at the Seaside Outdoor Dining ◢
We set up our venue in the garden of Nagisaryo Mojishima, overlooking Mojishima Island in Matsukawaura.
Chef Naoki Sakawaki of Nagisaryo Mojishima and Chef Aoyagi of Aoyagi served exquisite dishes featuring seasonal Joban-mono and other prized ingredients from Fukushima Prefecture 😋🍴
The dishes were paired with Fukushima sake and wine 🍶🍷
Everyone enjoyed chatting with the chefs and producers while dining!

◤ Shopping Time ◢
At the end of the tour, everyone enjoyed shopping at Hama no Eki Matsukawaura, focusing on Soma's specialty product, Aosa (sea lettuce) 🛍️

① Amuse: Manekineko Monaka, Pittole (bite-sized fried pizza from Southern Italy, fried with fermented dough mixed with fresh Shirasu and Aosa), Mehikari Beccafico (a Southern Italian dish usually made with sardines), (minced Mehikari mixed with sautéed breadcrumbs, rolled up and oven-baked)
