Accomplishing a Remarkable Feat: Fukushima Wins the Most Gold Prizes for the Second Consecutive Year at The Annual Japan Sake Awards for the Reiwa 7 (2025) Brewing Year!

The results of The Annual Japan Sake Awards, a competition where sake brewing techniques and quality are rigorously evaluated, were announced on Wednesday, May 20. Fukushima Prefecture achieved a total of 32 “Award-winning Sake” selections, with 20 of those labels earning the prestigious “Gold Prize.”

With this impressive number of Gold Prizes, Fukushima Prefecture has secured the top position in Japan for the second year in a row.

 

 

To celebrate this achievement, a Ceremony to Commemorate Winning the Most Gold Prizes in Japan was held on Wednesday, May 20, at the Fukushima City Machinaka Hiroba.
