The Japan Wine Competition 2026 recognizes and celebrates wines made exclusively from 100% Japanese-grown grapes.
Following a rigorous judging process, five wines from Fukushima Prefecture were honored across three categories, earning two Silver Awards and three Bronze Awards.

A total of 886 wines from across Japan were entered in 12 categories.
During the judging sessions held in Yamanashi Prefecture on July 8 and 9, a panel of 30 judges carefully evaluated each entry based on appearance, aroma, taste, and overall balance.
The awards ceremony will be held on August 3.
