Beer / Happoshu (Low-Malt Beer)
We aim to create beers that will be loved locally for the next 100 years and that enrich people's daily lives.
PIRONO BEER is a craft beer brewery established in Koriyama City in June 2024. Located in Domaemachi, Koriyama City, an area with a unique atmosphere where a charming historic townscape meets the present day, we operate a brewery and an adjacent restaurant. The brewery is housed in a renovated stone warehouse, which is approximately 100 years old. We are committed to brewing beer that becomes the "everyday drink" for local residents and a "special drink" for visitors to this location.
PIRONO LLC PIRONO BEER
PIRONO BEER was established in June 2024. Located in Koriyama City, the brewery resides in a former liquor store built over 100 years ago. Inside this historic building, a new era for beer has begun to flow 🍺✨
The roots of the project date back to around 2016. As craft breweries began to gradually increase across Japan, the vision started with a single thought: "I want to create craft beer in the city of Koriyama that is truly rooted in this specific region."
While visiting breweries nationwide, the founder encountered beer-making rooted in British tradition—gentle yet profound. Approximately five years of hands-on experience in the field laid the foundation for today's PIRONO BEER.
The brewery places great importance on being a part of daily life. "I want our beer to be something that is loved by the local community for a long time," says the owner, Takahiro Sato.
The lineup features two flagship styles: Saison and Helles. While each has its own character, they are designed with a drinkable flavor profile that pairs effortlessly with a meal. The selection changes slightly with each season, offering the charm of discovering something new with every visit.
The brewing equipment is located right in front of the taproom. Enjoying a glass while watching the site where the beer is created is a truly special experience. The space was renovated alongside an architect friend, featuring touches like an old iron door repurposed into a table, allowing the history of the building to live on 🌟
Currently, due to production volume constraints, beers using locally sourced ingredients are in the conceptual stage. However, connections with local producers are beginning to grow steadily 🌱
Aiming to create a beer that locals can take pride in, the story of PIRONO BEER continues right here in Koriyama City.
